简爱从小父母双亡，不久，收养她的舅舅也去世了。冷酷无情的舅妈将她送到了一所条件恶劣的慈善学校。简爱18岁离开学校，受聘到桑菲尔德府当家庭教师。在桑菲尔德她认识了那里的主人罗切斯特。两人在彼此美好品质和出众才华的吸引下，不顾身份地位的巨大差异，摒弃世俗的观念决定走到一起。可就在举行婚礼那天，简爱才知道罗切斯特早已成婚的事实。自尊自爱的简爱知道他们不可能有平等的婚姻，态度坚决的离开了罗切斯特。但当得知罗切斯特的疯妻火烧桑菲尔德，他本人也因火灾双目失明时，简爱还是毅然回到了罗切斯特的身边。疯妻的死解除了罗切斯特和简爱道德上的障碍，最终两人走到了一起。

简爱貌容不美，身材矮小，但她有着极强的自尊心。她从小父母双亡，寄人篱下，在她的童年生活里，出现了本不该有的色彩。承受着和别人不一样的待遇。舅妈的嫌弃，表姐的蔑视，表哥的毒打和侮辱。这些对她人格上的践踏，不但没有打倒她，反而使她磨练出了坚强不屈的意志。

在遇到罗切斯特后，她没有因为自己是一个地位低贱的家庭教师而在罗切斯特面前感到自卑。相反的，她认为他们是平等的，不能因为她是仆人就得不到别人的尊重。她的正直、高尚、纯洁，心灵没有收到世俗的污染，是罗切斯特为之震撼。并把她视为可以和自己平等交流的人，慢慢地爱上了她。

The play it mainly tell us how Jane is growing up when suffering from great difficulties and painless. whats more, it is impressed me that she still love her master even if he is blind at last due to rescue his mad wife. And I like the Classic lines what Jane said to Mr. Rochester ："Do you think I can stay to become nothing to you? Do you think I am an automaton?a machine without feelings? and can bear to have my morsel of bread snatched from my lips, and my drop of living water dashed from my cup?

Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!I have as much soul as you,and full as much heart! 这是我最喜欢的一句话，遇到困难，不能退缩，如果解决不了，也要硬着头皮做。这不禁让我想起了林海音的《爸爸的花落了》里的一句话：无论什么困难的事，只要硬着头皮去做，就闯过去了。没有做不到的事，只有不敢做的事，不是么？

要说这本书里面让我感触最深的莫过于简·爱小时候的可怜的遭遇，她少年时候的坚强。我在看见她舅母对待她是恶毒的言语以及她舅母三个女儿的行为，看到简被他们几个人欺负的时候，我的眼睛不由得一酸涩，心也揪了起来。这之后又再次扪心自问：“如果我是简我可以坚持下来么？我可以像简那样长大后你不去愤世嫉俗吗？”我相信我不会。因为现在的社会条件太好了。从小是在家人的呵护下成长，从来都没有受过如此般待遇。

简·爱就是一个混合体，一个理智，坚韧勇敢，执着的混合体。当然我最佩服的是他的坚韧，我觉得坚韧是每个人都需要的。如果你不够坚韧，那么你怎么面对现在这个复杂多变的世界？这个社会市场是不公平的，这就需要我们坚强的去面对。你若不坚韧，我想在现在这个社会你会过得很痛苦。面对危险，我们需要勇敢。然而面对困难，我们不但要坚韧勇敢，还要勇往直前，所向披靡！！
